Ycee, is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter signed to Tinny Entertainment. Omo Alhaji as he’s fondly called is the best now frankly. Please I can’t argue! His song ‘Juice’ is still the only juicy track that can battle Davido’s IF on iTunes Chart, what do I have to say again. 2017 is so dope for him.

3. Vector
The first time you heard him you might have mistaken his voice for American rapper, Jay Z because their flows and voice are very alike. Vector is that Nigerian rapper that flows in good English without getting tired. He did an awesome Job this year compare to last year.

4. Yung6ix
Yung6ix is a warri born rapper who started his hustle in 2010 when he remixed Ice Prince “Oleku” and his version got thumbs up by many. One of his hottest single is “Blessing” where he featured another Warri singer, Oritse Femi . His Album “Highstar” was a fine one and he got enough Juice this year and hope to see him shining come 2018.

5. Dremo
The freshest rapper on the block. Fresh out from the stable of DMW is the latest one to reckon with when it comes to rap. The beast gave us Fela, Ojere, Iro nla, Back 2 Back. Dremo is nothing but a colossal blessing to his musical genre. Dremo was a bit on a low this year, we guess he’s cooking something for the year in view.

6. Ill Bliss
Oga Boss is among the well known bosses in Nigeria Entertainment Industry and his lion flow is some thing we can’t forget in a hurry. Sometimes ago, the rapper made it known that he is retiring from music maybe he wants to go into something else who knows.

Falz The Badth Guy is now one of the biggest boys in town who earn alot from his rap business . Falz is not just a rapper but also a comedian, his short comedy skit made him popular on social media before he finally decided to try himself in the rap world. His First Headlined concert “Falz Experience” was definitely a history to write about. His Album “27” was a Killer. He killed many shows and also bagged reasonable amount of Endoresement and Award this year. 2017 is a year of multiple blessings for the Lawyer turned Rapper.

8. Naeto C
Naeto C ‘Ten Over Ten’ song is something we can’t forget in a hurry because it is one of the street favourite as at them .Talking about those few Nigerian rappers that does their rap in a global standards, Naeto C is one of them. Nothing spectucular this year but baba is on the low inspecting how the industry is going.

9. Ice Prince
Ice Prince, is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist and actor. He rose to fame after releasing “Oleku”, one of Nigeria’s most remixed songs of all time. A lot happened in 2017, but he’s still standing and we pray God place his hand of mercy on him come 2018 and beyond.

10. Jesse Jagz
Jesse Jagz is one of the most respected rapper in Nigeria because of the way he raps as if rap is nothing, he raps as if rapping is the easiest thing to do on planet earth. Nothing much in 2017 but we still believe and look forward to jamming something from him soon.

11. Eva
The Super Woman of posh rap in Nigeria, I guess is nobody is dragging the Queenship with her presently, Did you say Saeon? She couldn’t even stand firm after she and Wizkid Saga. Eva is a talented rapper. You can argue with your keyboard.

12. Mode 9
Modenine, is an English-born Nigerian rapper. As a seven time The Headies Lyricist on the Roll winner, he is the most decorated artist by the magazine.

The Local Rappers

1. Olamide (The lead man of the Local rapper gang)

Olamide had an amazing 2017. From Wo, to Update to Assignment to his Lagos Nawa Album and a Successful OLIC 4 Concert. Olamide signed new deals, renew existing once, broke some records and also set new ones. His Wo Video currently sits at 12m views on Youtube. Let’s just move on from this Man, who can finish all the pages if we don’t stop here.

2. Reminisce
Alaga ibile had an awesome 2017 as his ‘Ponmile’ single blew beyond his expectations and got loads of covers from top Nigerian acts all across the country. His Reminisce Street Concert at Ikeja City Mall in Lagos was a total shut down. His label is doing well and his endorsement deals are 100% intact.

3. Phyno
Ezege is one beast we all should watch out for come 2018. He had hit bangers in 2017 and also his Phynofest show at Enugu some months back was a total shut down as over 40,000 people stormed the Event. Phyno had a superb year anyone would pray for..

4. Seriki
The Eedohwoo Number 1 man wraps up the year on a very high note with his “Sakamanje” single featuring Reminisce. A good song to rock the festive season. Seriki was on a very low ground at the beginning of the year due to some underground works but promised his fans a back to back him come 2018. We hope to hear more jams as promised.

5. Lil Kesh
Lil Kesh after moving away from YBNL has been struggling but still not doing bad. With his latest jam “Rora” one can tell the YAGI boss is back on his feet. Lil Kesh had a fair year but we only hope and pray 2018 obeys for him.

6. Chinko Ekun
Chinko had a fair year and stepped a bit higher compare to what 2016 was like for him. With new singles and a Show few months ago, one can easily tell Chinko is about to unleash the Dragon in him once again. We got our eyes on him come next year.

7. Zlatan Ibile
Zlatan awon eyan Segun wire started the year when Segun wire’s video went viral on social media. Zlatan had couple of songs earlier this year including ‘Omoge’ featuring Oritse femi. As if that was not enough, he dropped ‘My Body’ featuring Olamide and everything changed. The song was an amazing banger and then Davido danced to the song, broke Nigerian Instagram record to become the most watch Instagram Video by a Nigerian. 2018 will surely obey as the young man is not here for a piece of cake but to take the whole oven home. He also had enough show performance this year. 2017 was a big bang for him. We look forward to hearing more hits from him.

8. Oladips
Omo Iya Aje as he’s fondly called is doing and making his moves slowly but steadily. His ‘Lalakukula’ single was a banger and we just can’t for the Video to drop. Ola Dips has an amazing year and we hope to see him do more come 2018.

9. Wale Turner
Help us find brother wale oooo… The ‘NO’ crooner is on some kind of low key moves… Guess he’s currently arranging his Lyrics against 2018. He had an amazing start of the year but eventually went silent towards the end. Our search light is on you uncle wale.

10. Davolee
After such a long time away from releasing music, Davolee continues to provide whenever he feels like it. After releasing his debut single “Festival Bar, fans both old and new began looking for another song from the crooner and just then, he finally resurfaced with a new song titled “Cirocing” and without much delay, he dropped “Oya Gbeff” featuring his label boss Olamide. That’s was a banger. Davolee deserves a Kudos.

11. Base One
The Aquila record artiste had a very boring year. Nothing major attached to his name. His “Makana” song would have been a hit but nothing serious was done on the promotion of the song. We hope they get it right come 2018.

12. Leke Lee
One of the most talented artiste on the block. Leke Lee had loads of singles but “Omo Oloja” was a major hit for the talented young rapper. Naijaloaded is very much interested in signing this young man and we see that happening in 2018 already. Take a minute to listen to his song “Omo Oloja” and this young man will blow your mind away.
